In one of the latest attacks on the first amendment freedom of speech, a blogger or other user of the internet who sets up a site [or does other things] with the intent to annoy others can be legally tried and sentenced to up to two years in jail.
The internet user in question does not have to harrass [legally a stronger word] but can merely intentionally annoy to wind up in hot electronic soup. The operational words are INTENTIONALLY ANNOY.
An annoying blogger who may just write randomly annoying stuff cuz of a mere personality flaw is off the hook. A blogger who wishes to annoy a target annoyee such as yahoo or M$ or the president is not.
There goes another attack on american freedom of speech. Isn't that grand?
If you care about these things, you might consider joining the electronic frontier foundation. They can be found at http://www.eff.org . Oh, I forgot to ask myself-- am I intentionally annoying our government senators and congressmen by posting this info???
